Chrysanthemums are among the most versatile and classic special occasion flowers. They are available in almost ever imaginable color and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. They can be used in arrangements to add accents, mass, interesting shape, or texture. Chrysanthemums are one of the most economical flowers you can use. One stem often contains several blossoms (3 to 12) that can be removed and used individually. Chrysanthemums also have one of the longest after-cut lives among fresh flowers. The flowers withstand hours without water and show no signs of weary; when the stems are in water, the blossoms can last up to 3 weeks.
